How OneSource Wines Built a Wine Portfolio For a Resort Hotel Group

Bernat (1)

The Situation

A boutique resort required a full line of wines to serve as their house portfolio across multiple outlets. The program needed to align with the property’s identity, deliver strong margins, and be simple to manage operationally.

Challenge

Designing a wine portfolio for a resort environment required balancing several operational and commercial considerations.

The wines had to:

-Align with the brand’s identity
-Deliver strong margins
-Be simple to source and implement

Our approach

Our Sourcing Strategy

We analyzed the client’s needs, including pricing targets, number of SKUs, style preferences, and service environment.

1. Wine Selection

The result was the development of Bernat, a five-wine private label lineup sourced from producers in Terra Alta and structured across clear styles—Syrah, Rosé, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon—to cover a broad range of guest preferences while remaining easy for staff to execute.

2. Region & Producer Selection

We partnered with trusted producers we already work with, ensuring reliability from the start.

We chose Terra Alta region because it offered great prices and the most straightforward sourcing.

3. Packaging & Design

Custom branding was developed across labels, bottles, closures, and packaging to ensure alignment with the resort’s aesthetic. Screw-cap closures were selected to improve service speed and eliminate cork-related inconsistencies.

4. Logistics & Delivery Execution

Production coordination, packaging, and logistics were centralized under a single sourcing partner, creating a streamlined and reliable supply chain.

Results

he Bernat portfolio was designed for service across restaurants, terrace, and bar areas, offering a balanced and easy-to-manage wine program tailored to a hospitality environment.

The custom label design established a distinctive visual identity aligned with the resort’s brand, while screw-cap closures improved operational efficiency and consistency in service.

Within 4 weeks, the client had a fully developed, ready-to-launch private label wine program.
