The Situation
A boutique resort needed a full line of wines for their house program. They identified an opportunity to improve the overall structure of their wine program. The existing selection consisted of wines sourced from different distributors, which resulted in a lack of consistency, branding and pricing.

Challenge
Designing a wine portfolio for a resort environment required balancing several operational and commercial considerations.
The wines had to:
-Align with the brand’s identity-Deliver strong margins
-Be simple to source and implement
Our approach
Our Sourcing Strategy
1. Wine Selection
We designed a 5-wine portfolio covering key consumption moments:
The final portfolio included:
- Syrah – a fruit-forward red suited for grilled dishes and casual dining
- Rosé – fresh and vibrant, ideal for terrace and daytime service
- Merlot – smooth and approachable for a broad international audience
- Chardonnay – balanced and versatile for seafood and lighter cuisine
- Cabernet Sauvignon – a structured red option for richer dishes
2. Region & Producer Selection
We partnered with trusted producers we already work with, ensuring reliability from the start.
We chose Terra Alta region because it offered great prices and the most straightforward sourcing.
3. Packaging & Design
Understanding the operational reality of a resort, we replaced traditional cork with screw caps.
We also developed a custom label design, tailored to reflect the hotel’s identity.
4. Logistics & Delivery Execution
We managed the international logistics end-to-end, ensuring smooth export, compliant documentation, and reliable customs clearance. Transport was optimized for cost and efficiency while maintaining strict handling conditions to preserve wine quality. Deliveries were carefully coordinated with the resort’s operations, and a scalable system was put in place to support consistent reordering and seasonal demand.
Results
The resort successfully introduced a cohesive five-wine house portfolio that is now served across its restaurants, terrace, and bar areas. By sourcing the wines from producers in Terra Alta and structuring the selection around five clear styles—Syrah, Rosé, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon—the hotel gained a balanced lineup capable of covering most guest preferences while remaining simple for staff to manage.
The custom label design created a recognizable visual identity for the wines, allowing them to feel exclusive to the property and aligned with the resort’s brand aesthetic. At the same time, the decision to use screw-cap closures improved operational efficiency in a hospitality environment, making service faster and ensuring consistent wine quality without cork-related faults.
Through a single sourcing partner managing production coordination, packaging, and logistics, the resort now benefits from a streamlined procurement process, reliable supply, and consistent wine quality. The result is a wine program that supports both the guest experience and the operational needs of the hotel.
Within 4 weeks, the client had a fully developed, ready-to-launch private label wine program.
